The Flemish CEF team follows up the TEN-T and CEF policy and knows first hand the timing of upcoming calls for proposals. Moreover to ensure the success and quality of projects being submitted, the team is available for guidance throughout the submission process.

The Department of Mobility and Public Works has more than 10 years experience in managing and following up CEF projects.

Take into account that you are responsible for writing the project proposal yourself but we are here for support.

Before submitting your project proposal, you need the approval of the member state where your project will be implemented.

The Department of Mobility and Public Works reviews your proposal and provides the required validation after approval of the cabinet of the minister.

The procedure and timing are determined per call for proposals and if possible in line with deadlines of the other Belgian authorities and member states.

After the selection of you project contract negotiation on the grant agreement start with the Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (in Dutch)(opens in new window) (CINEA) that is in charge of support, coordination and monitoring of various European financing programmes linked to the Green Deal. If needed the Flemish CEF team is available for support in this process.

Should problems arise during project implementation, the team is also available for looking into solutions and steps forward together with the European Commission and CINEA.

The annual reporting or final reporting of your project does not require member state validation in this new programming period. The Flemish CEF team however would like to be informed about the progress of your project’s implementation on the Flemish territory and is still available for questions regarding these procedures and forms to use.
