Everyone should have a place to live, but it is difficult to build all homes accessible. The proposal is therefore to build adaptable homes, which means that we can make them accessible later.

Corridors and doors are already the right size which will make it easier to change the bathroom and bedroom without spending too much.

Among other things, this book aims to raise awareness and guide municipalities in the optimal selection of the public real estate stock they submit in their anchoring program, applying the criteria in the creation or renovation of adaptable housing.

For this, the 10 criteria for adaptable, adapted and accessible housing are applied.
