Historic England recognises that everyone should be able to enjoy easy and inclusive access to the historic environment. Removing the barriers to access can allow many more people to use and benefit from the historic environment, and if done sensitively need not compromise the ability of future generations to do the same.
This guide gives information about why access matters, how to plan a better access and also making access a reality. You also find information about where to get advice.
There is a brochure on historic building, one on historic landscapes and a website.
