Green certificates for solar panels
Under certain conditions, you can receive green certificates for solar panels that were commissioned no later than 16 July 2021. New solar panels are not eligible for green certificates.

Installations with an inverter power
- less than or equal to 10 kVA: Register the meter reading of the production meter of the solar panels at the Fluvius portal for solar panels (in Dutch)(opens in new window) (= the grid operator)
- greater than 10 kVA: The monthly production by the solar panels is registered by the grid operator. Green certificates are calculated monthly
Calculation of green certificates
Green certificates are calculated depending on the time of commissioning. If there is a surplus at the time of calculation (not a full green certificate), then that surplus will automatically be included in the next calculation.
If the solar panels were commissioned:
- between 1 January 2013 and 17 July 2021, then the number of kWh for one certificate depends on the banding factor. Which banding factor applies (in Dutch) depends on the start date (commissioning) and the power of the installation.
- you will receive one certificate per 1,000 kWh generated by no later than 31 December 2012.
